This week we were introduced to the ‘Tip Model’ which is a model that consists of 5 stages to help teachers integrate technology into their planning and assessment activities to achieve curriculum outcomes.
The Tip model comprises of 5 stages:
Phase 1: determining relative advantage- what ways can you best present learning outcomes through technology?
Phase 2: Deciding on learning objectives and assessments
Phase 3: Design integration activities – evaluate own teaching strategies and approaches.
Phase 4: Prepare the teaching/ instructional environment- make sure you have efficient technical support.
Phase 5: Evaluate integration activities- pro’s and con’s- what worked well and what improvements can be made/
This has been a very useful and insightful model that I will reflect upon and refer to when structuring my lesson experiences for assignment 2.
